An autoethnographic miniature on the tensions and boundaries of researcher experiences
Abstract
In the form of a critical miniature, the author presents her work of integrating standard protocols from both the ethnographic and case study methods to develop an autoethnographic case study protocol. The author argues that autoethnography as both method and genre offers a way of experiencing, presenting, analyzing, interpreting and understanding research that succeeds in examining the tensions and boundaries of researcher experiences and more generally, of the culture of the academy.
