Interview with Playwright Ian Weir

Abstract

In interview with Ginny Ratsoy, Ian Weir discusses his ongoing relationship, since the mid 1970’s,  with Western Canada Theatre, thereby providing not only an overview of his career as a playwright, but also a perspective on the company’s history. Weir’s views on the historically strong theatre culture in Kamlooops are highlighted. As someone experienced in the Vancouver theatrical scene, he also provides comparisons between small and large city theatres and audiences.
